Each of the childhood sessions are split between in studio and outdoors to provide a complete series of images in multiple settings. Alisa has a wide variety of props and encourages everyone to bring along several outfits and favorite toys. Family portraits should be planned for annually with a rotation between spring and fall to give a wide variety of art for years to come. These are the years when the baby teeth are precious and time is fleeting. Children are portrayed in seasonal and fantasy sets such as pumpkin patches and fairy wings. Many clients ask about Alisa’s signature beach sessions during this age range, and that session is recommended around the age of 4. At that time it is more likely to get a family portrait where the child will look at Alisa and not be overwhelmed with the water and the sand and can follow directions. Below is a list of items you might consider bringing to the childhood sessions booked annually.

Costuming from dress up closet or from a recital
lovey or blanket that still is carried by that child

Spring linens, smocked clothing
Siblings in coordinated but not necessarily matching clothing
