Houston Maternity Photographer Alisa Murray’s Roses Collection. My maternity sessions are done in 4 parts with specific collections planed for areas of the home. The “Wall of Life” is all done in sepias and showcases what will be over several years the transitions of a couple to a family and a full documentation of all the stages of a baby’s development and relationships with siblings, parents and of course grandparents too! The collection for the nursery is the booties on the belly, my mommy and daddy wearing white and generally clothes so that when the nanny or big sister or grandparents are in the room there’s no nudity. The last collections are exclusively for the master bedroom and are sexy and fine art. The roses collection featured here is part one of a series completed through the end of the 6 month session with the baby. Each family has at least one something special to mark this special time in their lives. With families that have been here for years we have done several! I love Maternity as it feels full circle to me at a personal level. Many of you know that my mother was an OBGYN nurse and my father an OBGYN. There are two hospitals that have named their Labor and Delivery wings after me and I artistically love capturing expectant mommies! #alisamurray
