Good family photography happens when several elements are present. You have to have all the children happy and fed and in a great mood, great locations and lighting and a connection with the artist that is creating for your family a memory to last years to come. That last one is harder to find than any of the rest and it is precisely what I have cultivated for nearly 20 years being a portrait artist to so many families. I can not explain it but when the children run to to me and  call me “Auntie A” it is guaranteed that every session we do is perfect. I shoot families that see me once here and there all the time but when they ask “How come all your work looks like they know you and they are all sparkling?” I have to c ones that magic does not happen unless you as the client invest time and friendship into the relationship. Simply said… if you treat me like family then the  children will see me as their family and open up and given their best…. if you show up and treat me as a hired photographer and bring along with you a bunch of other people’s pics that you expect me to copy..i.e.  treating me like I have no creativity…then they see that and I feel that and your experience will not be the same. It is always best to find an artist that you like and then hire them letting  their style and  creativity shine as they capture your family.  #alisamurray

Sugar Land Baby photography is booming! Each year I have a whole new group of babies to come do my Signature 3m sessions. Traditionally, I always capture the babies in the black background for the Legacy Wall of Life and the giggling in the roses series is a trademarked collection!

We also enjoy shooting grandparents and a few nursing shots too! This is also a great time to capture siblings if the older ones are a blessing to hold up and prop the baby!

This sweet little is posing so fantastically! He has such a great temperament and his parents are super sweet too! I enjoy taking care of the whole family and truly creating lasting art for each client that reflects who they are. #alisamurray #auntiearockstheshots #alisamurrayphotography #houstonbabyphotographer #houstonbabyphotography #houstonmaternityphotographer #sugarlandmaternityphotography #houstonnewbornphotographer

Memorial Baby Photographer Alisa Murray’s Signature Giggling in the roses collection started in 2003. This collection was first featured on NBC in Houston and has been a well appointed requested set from the artist ever since! Roses collections are a perfect play on a beautiful background and the many faces that a baby makes through the 3month to 6 month stages of development.

I created the series after having shot so many babies in the various blankets in my studio. I discovered the timelessness of roses and how they are the perfect backdrop for a babies sweet expressions. Many of my clients choose to have me shoot roses at both their 3m and 6m sessions so that we have material captured to form a full wall of gorgeous faces for their homes. I love the series and it is one of my most treasured that I have of my own son!

My children have been my inspiration for my art through the years and often I will try out my idea with them prior to making its a regular offering at the studio. The Giggling in the roses is such a series, having shot James in the roses first and then became inspired to gift each client with the same beautiful imagery for there homes!

Good Morning my sweet friends and soon to be friends! This spring has lent itself to be wonderful weather for senior pics, bluebonnet pics and spring flings! Houston Baby Photography is seasonally based around here too which is why right now until next week we are in rodeo, spring fling and bluebonnet season. May 1 starts the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day season and then we are off for Galveston beach, old fashioned lemonade stands and Teddy bears with Tea! Come see what all goes on behind the scenes at the studio….there’s always something going on and something being planned for right around the corner! #alisamurray #alisamurrayphotographer #houstonmaternityphotographer #houstonfamilyphotographer

Good Morning! Baby Photography at Alisa Murray Photography is about as stress freer as taking a day off to go to the spa. Seriously? Yep! Seriously! I probably get asked twice a week if not more “How do you get the babies to smile?” I always say the same thing…I just do. Patience and perseverance are my best friends…and when you sprinkle in there some talent, a great camera and a great kiddo that has snacks…likes lollipops and knows me then the recipe is set for a fantastic capture of that baby!
